Is repurposing something that is unused to something that is useful decluttering?
What do you think?
I think so.
I like to have trendy things in my wardrobe. I do. No shame.
Anyway, last year the bib necklace was big for like a minute and I had to have it, so I got my booty out to H&M and got one. I wore it a few times, found it bulky, and it has been hanging in my closet ever since.
This year all the hip mamas are sporting big flowers or feathers or some combo thereof in their hair. Check out my About Page. How ahead of the curve am I? Anyway, those were some pretty flowers on that unworn necklace. I couldn’t let that go to waste, but that collection is too big for even my giant George Lopez sized head. So I cut it in three.
Now this craft took place, like many of my best crafts do, when I had 10 minutes left to get out the door. SO…no time for sewing or hot glue. A stapler will hold this until I fix it later…or not.
I may have employed this technique before.
Here’s the close up.
And I have this left for the girls.
I’ve since made three barrettes out of the remaining flowers.
Awesome!
And next year when I get sick of that headband, I’ll sew them on a sweater or t-shirt or something. Who knows.
Crafty.
I also got rid of a ton of other stuff, mostly empty DS boxes and DVDs that have seen the floor of my van too many times. Bye-Bye Barney.
